You know what? You're probably asking yourself right now while you're curled up in your nice little bed, "Daniel, why are you writing a stupid little blog, anyway? Don't you know that it's just a waste of time and nobody is ever going to read it?" My reply: Yes, I do know nobody will ever read this... and NO, it's not a waste of time! Let's be frank, shall we? Long story short: I'm going to India to study Tibetan Medicine this coming spring/summer, and it has come to my realization that during such (which what us students like to call a "field study") I'm supposed to.... *gasp* take NOTES of my OBSERVATIONS!?! When I realized this, I thought to myself something along the lines of "...but but, I SUCK at writing!" Why do you think that is? Well, I know why. It's because I never actually do it. In other words, I never write. Nothing, nada, zelge... So, what's my plan of action? I'll tell you: Start a humble little blog that will put pressure on myself to focus on practice practice practice practice practice and better writing (with emphasis on practice).
To end this wonderful first entry, I'd like to cop out on the attempts of scholarly writing and express my emotions via a picture dedicated to my inspiration for going to India. If you don't know much about the Dalai Lama, I'd advise you to google his name and see where the search takes you (unless you're in China, where no result will come up because their government, let's just say, is so very... awesome). Also, if you're interested in photos, I'd like to invite you to visit my other new blog that I just started, "Two Eyes : One World" Click here if you're interested, or here if you're not interested.
Thank you much, and have a glorious day.
